In this section some expressions are given and explained which can be used to express ways of asking and giving advice to others.
ACCEPTING SUGGESTION/ADVICE
- That’s good idea. I will do it.
- I’ll try. Thank you.
- Sure, I can do it.
- Yeah, you’re right.
- Why didn’t I think of that?
- That’s the best one, I’ll try that.
REFUSING SUGGESTION/ADVICE
- I can’t do that.
- I’m afraid I can’t.
- Could you give me another way?
- I think it can’t solve my problem.
- I’m not sure.
- How about other suggestions?
- I don’t think I can.

Wahyu : What grade did you get at the exam?
Azzah : I got A.
Wahyu : As expected from a smart student! I only got D. I really want to improve my grade.
Azzah : You probably should study harder.
Wahyu : I don’t know. I always get bad grade although I study hard.
Azzah : Hey, why don’t we study together? That way, I can help you out.
Wahyu : Good idea! I’m in.

Azzah : Have you heard that the due date for the final project is extended?
Wahyu : No, is it true?
Azzah : Yes. It will be due next month.
Wahyu : That’s wonderful! I haven’t even started yet.
Azzah : Would you need my help?
Wahyu : Yes, sure. Thank you for your help. That is very kind of you to me.
Azzah : Yes, you are welcome
